This is around the 10th call in a month using same script from different numbers (all now blocked). Other numbers had reports describing similar calls, supposedly to settle claim for percentage of settlement. No mention of my insurance carrier. Number called me on my work mobile which is not connected to any of my personal bank accounts claiming a £900 debit was due to go through on my Visa Debit Card. Advised if I did not make the payment to press 1 to get it cancelled as a possible fraud. After pressing one international old tone kicks in and accented woman answers 'hello' No way is this anything to do with banking or fraudulent payments. Be careful.

Banking scam. Fake recorded message saying unusual transactions have occured on your account and to press 1 or 2 to speak to an adviser. A bit of a stupid scam, because you simply check your banking app on the spot and see there's no pending transactions!
Indian guy calling himself David, claiming to be calling from Curry's with a promotional offer. I didn't wait to find out what, I've had several "Manchester based" calls recently all offering promotional offers. They are a real nuisance. I just keep blocking them.

My number is telephone preference system (TPS) and therefore this company - or any others like it - should not be calling - this was a 'fishing' call. Callers' name was 'Joe' - male, said he was 'an energy advisor'. End of call. Don't call again, Joe, you might get my husband next time and he is nowhere near as polite as I am.

Yet another call about a car accident I'm supposed to have had. I'm afraid on this occasion I snapped and used some choice language to the young "lady".
The second one today from the same stable - only the 2 digits at the end are different. Both calls from Manchester. There have been a few today - getting fed up with these scammers ringing constantly. They must be getting very strapped for cash to keep trying to defraud 'unsuspecting' people!! Well, we are on to them and so are the Police! We must get them stopped and prosecuted. REPORT, REPORT, REPORT!

SCAM I believe A woman, sounding Indian, pretending to be from BT OpenReach about my internet quality We don't buy our internet from BT I suspect this was one of those "we have discovered traffic on your line caused by viruses and need to log in to your computer to fix it" scam calls. The call didn't get that far though. She hung up, probably realised that I knew what I was talking about.

Unfortunately I did not get the name of the company but they were very aggressive at trying to make me claim for fictional "injuries" from a recent Road Traffic Accident (no fault of mine, another car scraped the side of my vehicle). I am furious they have my name, number, son's name and possibly other details - who gave it to them?

SCAM A chap (English) using this number rang to try to sell me a Medical Safety Pendant. Wouldn't say how he got my number but asked if I was over 50. When I asked if the call was the result of 'random' dialling, he ended the call. Quite possibly a scam!
