I am working at a bank and received a phonecall from a man, asking for phone-numbers from our bank-employees. I ve asked him what his name was and for which company he s working. He stated that his name was Steven Killen/Killin(?) and that he was an employee from Commerz Bank. I didn t trust his story and looked for this phone number on the internet. And Bingo!! It s from a company called "GDS International". I am sick and tired of companies or their employees, lying to get to the CEO s. STOP IT!!
They call and hang up - then when you call them their opening line is "Are you responding to a missed call" Not even a hello - obviously their business model requires curiosity of the caller to find out who called, then they try to trap you into getting a boiler and loft insulation that are apparently part of the greendeals fund run by the government - you can do this yourself without someone taking a cut if you really want. Just another PPI type firm.
HMRC scam. Told me I was being taken to court for tax fraud but could avoid this by paying them 4k. I had to go to my bank and open an account and make it available to them.

A man claimed to work for bitcoin.com and said that I'd signed up to make money online. I've been called over 20 times a day from people who claim to be from some financial company for the past 2 weeks (they make up a new name each time). Numbers probably spoofed but tend to start 0161768, 0161818 , 0113301 or 0113868. Normally decline and block but have answered a couple to ask them to stop. This one swore at me when I asked.

Received call 13.02.21 from someone claiming to be from BT. Said there had been an issue reported regarding the router and it would be disconnected. Played along for a while to try and get more info. Asked for the name of the manager so I could check the call was genuine. After several attempts they gave a name of Shaun Williams! Caller was foreign. Definitely a scam. It is a scam and we did transfer money but stopped order..all the amounts are for just over 2k paid into our account and we transferred just under 2k back into their bank. you ll see the money go into your account then they re desperate for you to pay the overpaid balance, they then cancel the dodgy cheaque within 2 days...Don t do it, the tel number is bogus and so is the address...
