This was the telephone number given to me by a self-proclaimed "Microsoft engineer" as the legitimate number for a "Microsoft Windows Service Provider" in Oxford. Numerous calls from this number. also from 01818894557. I attempted to call back both these numbers but numbers do not exist. I got so fed up I played along with him for 15 mins - he wanted to take control of my PC in order to fix (non existent) problems with my router. What he would have done is anybody s guess, but I assume it would not be to my advantage and probably would have cost me money !

Told me he was from Windows but when i challenged him he told me he was getting very angry with me and wanted to use slang words. Then told me he needed money and I should give him some as people like me are rich because the government gives me money. Got even more aggressive when I said no . I got a call from this number. Only rang twice before hanging up. I didn t bother calling back. I have similar calls like this in the past before, although I can t remember their numbers .
repeated calls from this number which I do not usually answer but on the 1 occasion I did it was a silent call. I phoned them to complain and asked to be removed from their data base. I subscribe to Telephone Preference Service but still get these nuisance calls

And when we were having our tea, the house rang with this number and when we didn t answer it the mobile rang....this makes you think it is an urgent call???!!!! DO NOT GIVE ANY DETAILS! Your internet and phone line are fine...there isn t a problem with it at all. It s just these thieving bastatds trying to relieve you of your cash...they get abusive when challenged..

SCAM / SPAM 01484305524 Electronic female American voice purporting to be from Amazon. Doesn't ask for a name just launches into spiel. So far 3x calls today, all using different phone numbers, and numerous previous "Amazon" calls over past weeks using different numbers. Tend to be worse on a Thursday. I've signed up to the TPS service by they still keep coming through. Why can't somebody stop these devious crooks?
