It says this is Clearanswer, a marketing company and one of BTs partners.....comments from the general public seem to suggest otherwise. A very foreign voice suggested my BT contract was coming to an end. I don’t discuss new contracts with a cold caller. When I said it wasn’t due to be renegotiated she hung up...not the sort of thing a genuine person would do.

SCAM Presented themselves as an online competition for a DELL laptop through The Warehouse New Zealand. They asked for an entry fee to get our bank card number, took the entry fee then 3 days later took more money. The bank transaction shows as Highgames.Online and the number +44753717396 4691792... which the first part I thought might be a UK phone number, hence my post here. Fraudulent txt. I was expecting a parcel delivery and received a txt from this number asking for my name, postcode and date of birth. It then asked for my debit card details, this request made me suspicious so obviously I didn't continue. My usual delivery man has just delivered my parcel and confirmed this would have been a fraudulent txt. Please do be careful, this txt seemed legitimate.
just received a recorded message from this number at 0854. Saying, Visa fraud department spotted suspicious activity as my card used on USA gambling site. No names, bank details or any other information. Wanting me to press button 1 to "discuss". *ankers, hate that they don't get caught.

All I had to do was download anydesk.com. No thanks. This is how scammers connect to your computer, take control of it and steal your money. When I hung up he called me back from a slightly different number offended that I had hung up. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THESE PEOPLE.

SCAM the person on the phone was asian caller from India very hard to understand as he refused to provide with clear details of the company that he was ringing on behalf of, rushed his words when told to speak slower and clearly he made out he did not understand wanting me to stay on the phone for longer but I put the phone down after frustration even after I tried to give him my time to talk to me clearly being if asian background myself but he kept going off topic, very suspicious caller do not trust.
