SCAM!!! Received a call from this number and I was advised a debit had been made on my VISA card for £900 Asked female her name, (illegible) Owen. Asked her for her office address to verify her legitimacy as I was online at the time. Gave me address for BT HQ in London. Started telling me quite abruptly to check it, hurry up, go check it and so forth and then went into a barrage of offensive swearing and abuse from her. She then terminated the call.

Automated caller stating that my internet was to be disconnected as it had been compromised in several countries. I was advised to press 1 to be connected to an advisor who would then help me to change my IP provider ! This is not the first time I have had a call like this but from 2 different numbers.On the first occasion I ignored it and contacted my provider on that occasion who told me that it was a scam. I m sure this is one also.

SCAM -07833 168742 – Received text message Tuesday 2/2/2021 to mobile with restricted communication, alleging to be from PayPal claiming the account was to be restricted. Furthermore one has had immense difficulty in logging in and being repeatedly thrown out. This appears to be the precursor to being hacked, even though there was no response by me. This number rang on 09/03/23. When I answered, the call just ended. This number rang again on 10/03/23. The caller had a South Asian accent, knew my name and enquired about the car accident I'd had. I responded that this would be the car accident I hadn't had and told him to stop wasting my time. There was a fairly insincere 'apology' that he'd been given the incorrect details.
Indian person calls and he treats you like involved in a accident! When I heard that it was a scam I just hung up the phone and I blocked the number! Be careful!
