Fraud SPAM SCAM A Mr. Ford claiming to be from HMRC, telling me that I have an outstanding debt of £545 which must be paid immediately, otherwise there will be a warrant issued for my arrest. I said that I didn't believe this was a genuine call, hung up and then called HMRC but couldn't get through. After an hour and half trying I gave up, but I don't believe they call people from mobile numbers and I know I don't owe anything.

Answered and immediately a pre-recorded message said something like: "Thank you. Now that your number has been verified we will call you back shortly." and hung up. Looks like I just got added to another spam list! Blocked.

They asked for an entry fee to get our bank card number, took the entry fee then 3 days later took more money. I had a email apparently from Meta (Facebook) to say this number (07956836341) had been added to my Facebook account and with a link to report this if it wasn’t me who added the number. The date on the email was wrong (Friday 6th June 2023 doesn’t exist). The link asked for my FB password so I didn’t continue. I checked my FB security details and no number had been added. It looks as though this is a scam to try to access FB passwords.

SCAM A chap (English) using this number rang to try to sell me a Medical Safety Pendant. Wouldn't say how he got my number but asked if I was over 50. When I asked if the call was the result of 'random' dialling, he ended the call. Quite possibly a scam!
