Fake HMRC pre-recorded message threatening action because haven't paid taxes. Computer generated voice with non-UK accent

Pure UK Solutions - I've just applied for a job with an agency (RL Recruit). This number called and asked every question you need the answers to for a successful theft of identity!!! I stopped short of giving them my bank details but checked them out and they're outsourced payroll for the agency (who failed to mention any of this!!). In short, a legit company who will sound like a scam!!

This UK mobile number called my mobile and it was an automated voice saying it was about my "Visa OR Mastercard" (which one?) and that £600 had been spent on it 15 minutes ago. Press 1 to stop the payment. I did not press anything and hung up.

I rang back and they all have had an answering machine with the same female voice putting me in a queue and at no point saying who they are. Definitely a scam. They must use a system that generates a local number as I’m getting them calling at me multiple times a day. Already had 2 today and it’s not even 3pm yet. It’s a computer generated voice or a recorded voice trying to tell me that my bank account has been accessed or similar. I basically hang up as soon as I hear it’s them now. Just annoying
