Got a voicemail left threatening to send me to jail for tax evasion. I pay my taxes via my employer and self assessment every year so I know this is a scam to scare people in to giving sensitive information. Number blocked

Just received an automated female voice call to say I was defrauding HMRC giving a presumably bogus number of the details of the HMRC investigation and advising me to press 1 to take it further. I didn't bother to press 1.

Called today and asked to speak to me by name. Said he was called Alvin and when I asked where he was calling from he told me I didn t need to know!! When I challenged him he told me to gang up now!
