Internet, claim to be from Virgin media, said foreign ip address had piggy backed my Internet and they were going to fix it. I told them that was very interesting, asked them to confirm that they said they were from Virgin Media, person said yes, then put phone down

These days it is well worth having caller display on a land line - mobiles have it anyway. So for all these callers, 0845-, unavailable, withheld, etc., just lift the receiver and drop it back immediately, or, on a mobile, answer the call and immediately shut it down. This stops answerphone message.
Just received a silent call from this number. The caller ended the call after a few seconds.
