Noisy background with someone shouting "Mr [my first name]? Mr [first name]?" So clearly nobody I know, and nobody I want to speak to either.

Have previously had about three missed calls from this number - just picked up the latest call and they informed me that I d had a car accident at some point since July 2010 - I have never had a car accident, thank goodness. I asked them where they got this information from - they said they purchased these details from a company and had got them as I had registered the accident but hadn t claimed anything. Received a call offering me a trial of a Home Monitoring System. Unable to make out much more (I have impaired hearing).

This number rang my 84 year old mother and told her that her boiler warranty is about to run out (her boiler is very old and as far as she knows she s never had a warranty on it.) They persuaded her to sign up for a new warranty and she gave her bank card details. I m going to take her to the bank tomorrow to find out how much they took from her card. She has never been sent any warranty paperwork by them. Seems like a scam, almost certainly illegal. Once we know how much they ve withdrawn from her a/c

I don't know who this is but it's coming from North Yorkshire and I don't know anybody from there so I have now blocked the number.

Silent call

I was in the shower when they rang, had to rush to the phone, only to find they were wasting my time trying to get me to buy some stuff I don t need, by this time the water was still running and I m on a meter! Also my towel got soaked so I was unable to dry myself properly after the shower

The number is spoofed by the scammers and the call is not from within the UK.

Time wasters when I pick up the phone they just ring of What is the point of these people. When I try and ring back the number comes up incorrect phone number. Who are they and what do they want rang twice today Grrrrrrr!!!

Keeps on phoning pain in the butt

Same story. About a road accident I had but caller was from Liverpool and they used an 01462 area code. Trying to get me to claim for unnecessary whip lash etc, I suspect. Blocked.
