Suspicious of this call from this number that I received this afternoon. Caller said he was from BT and there was a problem with my internet.

Called by an Asian gent who eventually answered me (suspicious already) said he was a technician calling from some company or other (couldn t resolve company name) and said I had something wrong with my computer updates. What! I told him I was an IT Consultant (truth) and he started telling me what to do. Several times I told him he was a scammer but he completely ignored me. I just forwarded the number to my firewall blocker, didn t answer it as I know nobody in Southampton. Number in question is 02380170863.

They call leaving voicemails saying ‘this is not a marketing call, please call back’ I’ve also had texts asking to call back quoting the following reference number...which is different every time. And the name they use to address me via text spells both my first and last name wrong (not just one letter wrong, almost incoherently wrong!) so I will be blocking these obvious scammers!

I did not answer the phone but my guess is that it is an IT recruitment consultant.

had a call from this number twice in 24 hours. telling me they had information about me working in the industry? when I questioned this the caller kept asking me to confirm my details, which I refused and got annoyed and hung up. He called back within a minute and became abusive telling me he needed answers as he was doing a honest days work. I a afraid I got really rude with him at this point and slammed the phone down again
