The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. I had a message from this number +44 1252 560473, I ve googled it and it brought me to this website, I ve also sent it to the real paypal support team, the message I have is. " Dear ......, we ve detected unauthorized access to your PayPal account. Please log in at https://supportpaypal.net/ to unlock your account." I know full well my account is in fully working order, just wanted to share this with everyone

We received a strange call from this number but seemed to come via New Zealand (but the number is too long for NZ). The caller asked me how I was etc, etc. but not a good line. When asked who she wanted to speak to hung up.

Phone only rang a couple of times and before I could get to it they hung up. No idea who they were.

A text supposedly from Lloyds: a payment attempt from a new device. I do not have a Lloyds account.

Have received the same message from these scumbags, from same number even though my mobile is registered with TPS. Have reported it to Vodafone VSPAM 87726 and they have logged it as a SPAM sender. That generally means I will not receive any more SPAM from that number (need to be a Vodafone customer to do this).

This comes up as a Liverpool number .of is a company dealing with PPI. Very polite young man who was straight to the point regarding what the call was for. After asking a few questions, the usual ones about whether I d had any loans, credit cards, catalogues etc, he said he would get the system updated so that they didn t call again. Just about the most polite call I ve ever had regarding PPI!!
