SCAM Received call about the 'free' medical alert system 'worth £200' with reply freephone given as 08000487800. The 01202159xxx number is probably 'spoofed' as it is in line with a string of calls received recently in the same number group, but the last 3 digits keep changing to avoid call blockers. This is the first time that a message has been left.

SCAM Seems to be a call center as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities. So a cold caller which I had thought was now illegal. Bad vibes. Don't divulge any details. He was pleasant enough but that in itself is a trick of the trade, and he as all scammers are thinking about there next bite. BEWARE.

They didn t even specify what kind of account nor did they ever identify the company they were calling from. He new his name and said he owed money and they wished to speak to him.
