SCAM Claimed she was "'Yennifer' from 'Wirgin' media technical department"! Woman had very 'thick' 'Indian'-style accent. She said "oh, oh, oh," when I said I was busy & I would ring Virgin later. SCAM: Obviously a spoofed number- supposedly calling from my local area. An Indian sounding woman announced herself and said she was calling from BT. I don't have my phone line from BT, so I put on a silly voice & asked her if it was nice where she was, or was it raining? She ended the call.
Called from this number -- long pause before a woman (don't think it was automated because there was background noise) said something about 'Motor Satisfaction Surveys...

Despite being told several times, CARS continue to phone me on a regular basis looking for someone unknown to me. They say every time that they will remove my number but are persistent, aggravating and downright rude.
Recorded voice saying that they have been advised that I had been in a motor vehicle accident. Absolute rubbish, number now blocked.

Yet another fake “I’ve been told you were involved in a car accident that wasn’t your fault” call. The pre-recorded female voice - it is always the same voice so clearly they are the same single outfit - said she was Amelia Grant from “In Drive Expert Advisors”, which is an odd name, and as ever, when automatically transferred to the real human they rang off very quickly when asked questions. Lots of these con merchants around - be careful.

Fraud Told me I MUST press 1 to follow up on the tax fraud in my name. Sadly, I know HMRC don't use mobile phones and they also don't call themselves Her Majesties Tax and Inland Revenue Service.

Called saying they were from a Online Trading Platform I had signed up for to earn extra money. I have not and never will sign up and said so to caller. They were persistent and insisted I had - I asked they remove my number and then hung up. Number is now blocked.

Received a call at 04:53 - woken up . No one spoke
This is a high pressure sales caller purporting to be from a company called ESI, although I could find no details of them online. Their aim is to get people on good defined benefits pension schemes to sell out. They talk a good game, but this smells awfully like a scam outfit which is attempting to get people to transfer monies from safe defined benefits schemes to them, which is incredibly worrying. Your best bet if you receive a call from this number is to block it.
