Claims he is calling from a company called Assist Co, government backed, claiming that he can make me "debt free". When I asked how didn t he know that I may already be debt free, he said this is why he was calling! Told him I wasn t interested and added this number to my rejected calls list. Asked his where he got my details from, just kept on repeating that he was government backed. Cannot find any info relating to Assist Co on Google

SCAM Received call about the 'free' medical alert system 'worth £200' with reply freephone given as 08000487800. The 01202159xxx number is probably 'spoofed' as it is in line with a string of calls received recently in the same number group, but the last 3 digits keep changing to avoid call blockers. This is the first time that a message has been left.

Don t pick up the call - or if you already did, just end the call, don t press any keys - and if they ve left you an intimidating voicemail DON T call them back. Silent call Answered this call, no-one there!!! A recorded kind of drumroll played. Held on for a few minutes, music played again, still no-one there so I hung up. Saw previous search on Google to say that this is HMRC but I don't think it is.
Scam line. Calls are made from outside of the UK (Gold Coast), trying to get recipients to visit a scam website. The caller gets the recipient to perform some tasks on their PC, claiming that it is infected. If you ask for their number, they provide this one. If you call them back you are diverted to the caller in the Gold Coast. Do not call. Do not respond. Report this to the police.
