This Indian fella rings me every couple of weeks always calls me by a different first name usually as far as it gets but today I stopped him and told him my first name then says he s from some fraud investigation unit asked how I was I said was ok till you rang and got my name wrong his reply was so what s your fuckin name repeated it about 5 times I said who you think your talking to and he put phone down tryd ringing the number but it s dead or something

This number has been "Spoofed" as there is no business in Neath where this number is based which is a lawyers etc. The number is being used by an overseas call centre to generate leads. DO NOT ANSWER OR DISCUSS AS THIS WILL ONLY MAKE IT WORSE!!!! You will get further calls as they pass your number on as a "live" number.

SCAM. Yet another call from the same Manchester area which seems to be a major call scam area. Left no message as is typical of this sort of call from this area. The last call I had from this area with a similar number I answered and it was a recorded message telling me my NI number was going to be cancelled ...... I just closed the call as another scam. This comes up as a Liverpool number .of is a company dealing with PPI. Very polite young man who was straight to the point regarding what the call was for. After asking a few questions, the usual ones about whether I d had any loans, credit cards, catalogues etc, he said he would get the system updated so that they didn t call again. Just about the most polite call I ve ever had regarding PPI!!

Yet another fake “I’ve been told you were involved in a car accident that wasn’t your fault” call. The pre-recorded female voice - it is always the same voice so clearly they are the same single outfit - said she was Amelia Grant from “In Drive Expert Advisors”, which is an odd name, and as ever, when automatically transferred to the real human they rang off very quickly when asked questions. Lots of these con merchants around - be careful.

SCAM- whole week am receiving phone calls either from different mobile numbers or London area code numbers, including this one! Saying either my national insurance number has been reported ? Is there even such thing? Or now most recently informed me of the tax fraud that has been registered on my name? Then they always threaten of the legal action that will be taken , someone will investigate me or that someone will come to arrest me unless I “press ‘1’ now” if I don’t pick up they don’t leave a voicemail..
