The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. This is a generic number from Leighton Hospital
There was a lot of background noise and I couldn't hear properly. She had an Asian accent and said she was calling about my BT account. I then hung up believing it to be a scam call.
This number area code sunderland/newcastle calls on a daily basis both mine and my husbands number. Never leave a message and always ring when I am at work so unable to answer.
Another nuisance call : x 3 times today. I sincerely hope their close family get the same harassment or a nasty thing happening to them as I do believe in karma.
