SCAM text message purporting to be from one of my children telling me they had a new phone number and asking me to WhatsApp it so they could add me to their contacts. Blocked the number.

A SCAM - be very careful as the person on the phone will try to get you to download a programme called "anydesk.com" which gives remote access to your computer. In my case the person said he was from SKY and was checking on my report on bad internet signal (that part was true). He took me through a few dialogue boxes (thankfully I knew that I was not changing settings). He then tried to get me to download the programme. Thankfully I questioned it. He hung up. The number he called from was 02036
I rang the number back it’s about PPI saying I had money back in 2019 I told the lady I didn’t receive any money and to remove me from their database She started to raise her voice asking why would they do that when I had received money! I told her I had NOT received any money and to remove me from database. She started to speak I cut her short and said these calls should be removed remove me immediately and hung up. Repeated calls to a number that's only known to family and won't take the hint to leave me alone, and despite all the calls I still don't know who they are. Have just made an official complaint against this number.
SCAM . Clearly coming from a call centre. Stated his name was David (Asian accent), and that the call is about my Microsoft account. I have been plagued by similar calls in recent times, and as my landline is quite new, only a handful of people actually have been given this number, therefore any unsolicited calls are clearly SCAMS

Unsolicited call to landline, from unknown (to me) caller. I screened the call, no message left. Interestingly other popular 'who called me' number search sites had no record of this number. Be aware & alert every1 & stay safe.
Pretends to be from BT. They already have some of your personal information to gain your confidence. They ask you to confirm a pass code that they send to your phone or email which gives them access to your BT account and more personal information. They then try to get you to log on to your computer etc.
