Rang and after one ring it stopped. I suspect this number is being used to ring numbers to identify if they are in use. Every number that it successfully rings at least once is then added to a list to sell to scum bags for dodgy telemarketing purposes. Utter scum. Block it if you can.

Called saying they were my energy supplier and wanted me to renew on the telephone. They are not an energy company and are trying scare tactics with the current situation regarding the energy crisis. Ignore, delete, do not give them any of your information, do not agree to anything. They record your calls also so be careful.
well, for the first time ever, I blocked one of these annoying numbers - this one! and that was because i had to block them twice in a week (two different numbers, same town). thanks to the person who linked ICO in this thread, it was really quick.

SCAM It claims that the call is from Amazon that I have purchased iPhone for certain price and then if I have not purchased should press 1. Then may be they are trying to steal your data. So stupid Amazon never calls people for purchases even if you buy £1000s of pounds items. They dont care all their products are from their customers with guaranteed insurance and return policy. This is a very silly fraudulent scam. Please block the number before even they call u, one headache less. I blocked them for ever.

They call and hang up - then when you call them their opening line is "Are you responding to a missed call" Not even a hello - obviously their business model requires curiosity of the caller to find out who called, then they try to trap you into getting a boiler and loft insulation that are apparently part of the greendeals fund run by the government - you can do this yourself without someone taking a cut if you really want. Just another PPI type firm.

My property was repossessed in 2010, by the bank who then put touchstone in charge and they let the property through an estate agent, during this time someone they let the property too ran up a bill with Scottish power. Received a call asking about my car accident - which of course I hadn t had. When I asked who told them I have been in an accident the weary sounding woman just said they would remove my details and rang off. Interesting that if you try to call them on this number it appears not to exist.
