The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. Called twice today, 2nd time answered: asked for my partner by name & claimed to be from People's Energy who are our energy supplier and are based in Edinburgh so that matches the area code (0131). My partner wasn't happy to confirm security information for an unsolicited call though and they were happy to end the call requesting we call them. i have has several calls a day in the last couple of weeks from this "company" asking for someone ive never heard of,my landline is ex directory,when told this they say its the number they have been given for contact by this person,ive told them they are wrong,go check the address they have for this person,then check the electoral role for who lives at my address,,they replied with"we have no address for the client as it was done online,,what utter rubbish,ive had enough and im losing patience

Tried to return call and got an automated switchboard. Suspect this is PPI or double glazing or similar cold call, but diverted via my town.

NOT a russian number. 07427 are UK mobile numbers for UK carrier, THREE.

I too get daily calls from this and similar numbers, block them on my phone but they soon use a different number. Now just ignore all calls with that prefix
