SCAM - Called trying to say they were from Carphone Warehouse, challenged her and she still tried to sell me a phone, even when I said to her that this was just a scam and all she wanted to do was get my bank details. Amusing really. Told her to get a proper job and pay into society. Sad thing is is that they will get someone to buy into their scam who is vulnerable and/or elderly :(

Call centre The caller said he was from Lifestyle habits, and then proceeded without breath to try to ask me questions about my habits. He was clearly reading from a script and was not open to questioning about why he was asking the questions, he just carried on talking saying I wasn't listening to him. Eventually he hung up on me. As far as I was concerned this could have been a Phishing call. In reality it was probably just a nuisance survey type of call.
Call to landline today 23.02.2021 09.30am, no message left. Don t know anyone in the Orkney Islands, and no relevant information from online search.

If you get a call you should answer or call back as the problem is that the initial database maker sells your number on to other junk call companies. If you have a call from them you should call the number back and ask for James, the call centre manager and demand where they got your number from. Fraud - claim to be from HMRC and that there is a warrant for your arrest due to tax fraud. They might have some of your details so it seems real. Beware it's a scam. They said if you hang up the call, they will tell the courts you tried to run away from arrest, then they will fine you larger amounts. They tell you to stay on the line until they can get this sorted for you out of court and they're only trying to help you. They use multiple number including a cloned HMRC number. Avoid and block.
