Definitely a scam. BT, Openreach, TalkTalk, Virgin etc., will never call you about a technical issue unless you contact them.

Called pretending to be BT internet warning me of suspicious activity on my connection. I'm not with BT so that made it obvious first... Was a pre recorded voice this time.

PPI Caller - answered it once to tell them "no thank you" have since been hounded with 13-20 calls per day.
