Hourly calls received for 2 days so far, after I stupidly entered my correct phone number on an insurance comparison site (Quotezone - avoid at all costs). Ive never answered the calls and am unable to block them on my current phone or via my call provider, so I m buying a phone which has call barring on it. Ridiculous to think I have to do that, but I cant be doing with hourly calls, since yesterday and starting today, Saturday morning at 9.10am.

Called today but left no message on the answerphone. Receiving calls daily from different numbers but all without messages. Suspicious.

Called today and ulikely to originate from the UK based on the poor line. The person kept using my first name (i.e., Mr A***). She told me she was calling about an accident I d had for which I wasn t at fault. I asked her if that was in the BMW and she said "Yes I think so"...I don t drive a BMW and have never owned one! This is RTA Business Consultants who are known crooks. They offer to sell your business but they have no interest in selling your business at all. Their real motive is to trick you into signing a barely legal contract that they know you will be forced to cancel or renege on and when you do they’ll send you a bill for £5000. It s telemarketer call about car accident.

Just received a call from this number, they claim to be Gladstone Brooks. They did know my name, but may have just guessed that I d made a ppi claim in the past. Said I d phone back but I don t trust them.

Be carefull They use different numbers!! They give you a return number that is invalid. Waste their time - keep them on hold as long as possible. Then block their number.

Knew it must be a cold caller, but answered anyway. Timid newby on the other end said "Hello, am I speaking to Mr....." and then hung up when she realised she could pronounce my name. Hope the Obergruppenf?hrers she works for were listening in and fire her - thereby saving her soul...

Be very carefull. Scammers are using this number in text messages to appear to be genuine BT enginers. Rather worrying as they appear to be organising a home visit. They are not BT.
