I missed a call from what appeared to be a mobile 07937933921 I rang back but no one spoke but found on my next bill that I had a charge for personal numbering to ring this number back and I have mobile calls included for free normally. Beware you will pay a premium to ring this number and it isn t an 070 number!

This number area code sunderland/newcastle calls on a daily basis both mine and my husbands number. Never leave a message and always ring when I am at work so unable to answer.

The man said he was calling from the Telephone Preference Company and tried to convince me he was a genuine caller.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. I keep getting calls from this number which I never answer. I think that if you answer or reply to calls from these people they will know that the number is live, and not only will they keep hassling you, but they will also sell your number to other rogue companies.

A foreign caller rings every morning around 9.30 and sometimes in the evenings around 6.30 and asks me to complete a survey that will take 30 seconds. I have done this once (it takes a good 5 minutes) and a second time giving totally random answers. The third time I said I had already done it and was not doing it again, as I put the the phone down he was wailing my name - ...... DON T GO! Now I lift the handset but say nothing and they ring off almost immediately.
