SCAM / SPAM - Lady over the phone (asian accent) by name of Linda Jones apparently calling from HMRC tax fraud and evasion, evening time. asking for my personal details and full name. Refused to give me her job title or confirm anything in writing/email - threatened to pass over my info to the courts if i didn't co operate. Ended the call when I started asking her information relating to her role.
Automised voice saying it’s from HM Revenue and Customs ... highly unlikely considering it’s from a mobile number

after finding this no on telephone bill i knew i had not made this call. after re3ading pages and pages of york dialling code numbers with variations it is obvious these are scammers. what can be done about it

I m so glad i Googled the number while talking to this lovely lady, yes all fair and well it might a great deal and for a worthy cause but I m already giving to my own choice of charity so was not prepared to risk 79.99 being taken from my account should i miss the cut off point or they take it earlier than stated. I was Called on the 29th Jan 2014 at 5:39pm 01772257970 called but when answered no one replied and they hanged up. When I rang them back it said their is no such number.

Called by an Asian gent who eventually answered me (suspicious already) said he was a technician calling from some company or other (couldn t resolve company name) and said I had something wrong with my computer updates.
