Phoned my mobile this morning.Looks like from previous comments, they are saying they are from the same area of the country as the person being called, in this instance the south west. Said my name had been put forward for a payment as I had in the past worked in a factory with noise & machines. He could NOT tell me who had put my name forward, which factory I had worked at or when.As I ve never worked in a factory I dragged the call out as long as poss before he hung up.

Fraud. I was called by this number by someone pretending to be from Trend Micro internet security. he was foreign and said he wanted to give me a £299 refund. he then asked me to download a screen sharing software (anydesk.com). I refused and hung up, but he knew my name and email address.

This bunch have called me twice in as many days. I just had another call tonight. I m also registered with the TPS. Neither myself or my wife are in debt, but automated recordings are not to know that as the call bot relentlessly churns through its number database. It's got one digit less that regular 0207 numbers, so it might not be a London number at all. In my case, when I answered my mobile, their system just hung up.
