It s a well known scam. Don t bother calling them back. The number might appear to be normal geographic but they might have rigged it to charge you premium rate.

I received a call from two british east Indian sounding guys saying that they were calling from The online trading academy. The first one asked me personal info like what I did for a living and what I was currently trading... He then said he would put me on with his highly accredited colleague who then asked me to install an app called Anydesk so that he could screen share charts with me. Man with Indian accent. Said his name was Jerry. Called me Mrs [first initial of my oh s first name + his surname] which anyone can look up in the phonebook. Asked me if I was this person. I didn t tell him. Said he was from the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). I just pressed the red button.

Call went through to answering machine. Rang off part way through message.

Called for someone in the house, informed them that they weren t in. Said "okay" and hungup. Very rude, cold call!!

Got a text from a number 07786 200518, saying could you ring 0207288877 and ask for Claire Young from the retention department from EE..never replied to this message

I didn't pick up as I was at work, I believe the code is Orkneys? Had this number and another different ring within a few seconds of each other.

Same as the other comments, claimed to be from Talktalk said I had a problem with the router blah blah.

Phoned my mobile twice in 45 minutes, so it must have been important that they contact me, but they never left a voicemail which makes me think it must be a scam company cold calling. Yes, cold calling as I never ask companies to contact me.
