Scam, automated call supposedly from Amazon Prime about the subscription..., goes on to say press 1 for... press 2 for..., yeah, like I am touching anything other than end call and blocking it, anyone who presses a number on the keypad according to such directions will undoubtably transfer you to a premium phone number costing £X's per minute, or some other way to scam money from you, ask yourself, would a multinational company be phoning from a normal phone code?

Insurance SPAM This number and very similar numbers have been calling me daily for a couple of weeks. I have missed the previous calls but answered today. A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. 01997 617229 called me around 4:30PM on 21 March 2023. A guy with an Indian accept was speaking, but hung-up after about 5 seconds. If you call back, it says "welcome to Farn Mart", but none of the options in the menu connect you to anyone.

It appeared on my bank account as pending transaction on 14 May 2023 for the value of more than £30 but I haven’t spent any money with Deliveroo. I will contact my bank if this transaction goes through.
SCAM. I got a very convincing text from this number but it is 100% a scam. The text said ‘ We attempted to deliver your EVRI parcel TZXXDA0732617072 today but no one was home. To avoid your parcel being returned visit: https://evri-parcelsecure.com’. The text was sent at 4am though so there was no way it was legit/they had tried to deliver that day. The link looks legit too but asks you to pay a redelivery fee.

Said they were the Energy Advice Centre, offering to come and review my loft insulation for free and may be able to fix issues as part of government scheme (may be The Great British Insulation Scheme, which is a legitimate scheme). Didn't agree a time for them to come so couldn't say if the company is any good

This was an automated call about a charge for Amazon Prime membership that had expired. I don't currently have an Amazon Prime membership, so this was almost certainly a scam call.
