I got a phone call from this number, as I did the 1471 to hear the number back. The man said his name was John and wanted to speak to my brother. He new his name and said he owed money and they wished to speak to him. My mother answered the call but wouldn t give up any details, but she kept asking them questions about who they were and why they were ringing. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION AWAY!! DO NOT ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS!

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. Called twice this afternoon, saw 020 number on caller display so didn't answer it, no one calls me from London, have now put in the callblocker....

Dangerous scammers pretending to be from HMRC, threatening immediate arrest for non-existent unpaid taxes unless they get an instant payment! Don t pick up the call - or if you already did, just end the call, don t press any keys - and if they ve left you an intimidating voicemail DON T call them back. Don t worry, there will be NO legal consequences, there is NO arrest warrant, these bullies are just trying to scare you.

I missed a call from what appeared to be a mobile 07937933921 I rang back but no one spoke but found on my next bill that I had a charge for personal numbering to ring this number back and I have mobile calls included for free normally. Beware you will pay a premium to ring this number and it isn t an 070 number!

Called claims to call from American Express but when I call Amex back they say that they have not contacted me - be aware. It is a fraud

Left voicemail twice saying from MHRC and was filing law suit. I called back and asked who they were, said his name was Olivier and was case officer at HMRC. Asked him where he was calling from, he said 100 Parliament Street, London. I said I doubted that. He said f**k off motherf**ker and hung up!
