Said from virgin but hung I hung up as not sure they were, didn't sound legitimate
In computer voice call women said someone had fraudulently used my visa for £600.00 recently. I put the phone down. nI don t have a visa card.

Computerised recording waffling about HMRC, I hung up.
SCAM Call starts with an automated message telling you that there is an arrest warrant out for you for underpaid tax and tax fraud. Continued the call to confront whoever initiated the call, and it follows through to an Indian call centre purporting to be HMRC. Do not give any details to these scammers!

Called my mobile saying they were from BT Business, asked to speak to my friend, Told them this is not his number, they asked for a contact fro him, I said you should have it, they said, this is the only number we have for him. Then asked, you do know him though? and I answered "Yeah". BT Business say the number is untraceable. they may have recorded me saying "Yeah" to use for fraud.

This number is used by Boku, a phone collection service (based in San Fransico, USA - with supposedly Europe wide offices) that collects "subscriptions" from, normally inadvertantly, "subscribing" to on-line adverts, messages and web sites. Boku send you a confirmation text, using this number, to tell you that you have just subscribed again. SCAM / SPAM This automated caller has rang a few times recently telling me my internet connection has been hacked and asks me to press digit no.1 on my house phone to help sort out the problem, of course i won't do this never have, its a scam call. My answer phone usually picks up these calls anyway. Pressing digit 1 on your phone can invite them to use your phone line or put you on a high call rate charge which you will have to pay. So do not follow their instructions !
