SCAM - says washing machine service contract is about to expire, but I don't have the brand of machine they quoted and I don't have a service contract. They hung up on me after I queried it. Probably would have asked for fraudulent payment for service extension.

A Google search suggests that the number, if genuine, belongs to a company called The Best Connection Group Ltd, a chain of recruitment agencies.

Yet another fake “I’ve been told you were involved in a car accident that wasn’t your fault” call. The pre-recorded female voice - it is always the same voice so clearly they are the same single outfit - said she was Amelia Grant from “In Drive Expert Advisors”, which is an odd name, and as ever, when automatically transferred to the real human they rang off very quickly when asked questions. Lots of these con merchants around - be careful.

SCAM / SPAM Recorded message saying it's the HMRC that there is a fraud case in my name I have to press 1 now. Obviously I didn't I hung up and blocked the number guessing if you press 1 it will charge you ridiculous amounts of money or will try scam you into giving more details either way I wasn't willing to find out if you get a call from this number or a similar message from a different number just hang up and block.

I got a call from this number asking me to ring them back or a warrant would be issued in my name and I would be arrested shortly. I ignored it as I know I had not committed any offence and recognise its a scam but imagine if it happens to a vulnerable person who suffers from anxiety. They could get sick from worry even though they have not done anything wrong.

Called twice today, 2nd time answered: asked for my partner by name & claimed to be from People's Energy who are our energy supplier and are based in Edinburgh so that matches the area code (0131). My partner wasn't happy to confirm security information for an unsolicited call though and they were happy to end the call requesting we call them. There is a National Insurance scam which seems to be using numbers starting 0777151. It calls you on your 0777151..... number then uses your number as a mask to call other people so they believe you called them. Quite annoying.
