Automated phone call that hangs up (cold call)
SCAM Financial investment company that they claim I had asked to be contacted by. However they do not know my actual given name nor do they know my full name. I asked if instead of using the random name I publicly go by if they could confirm my full name and other details but could not. I’ve had several of these “investment companies” calling and fishing for details recently. All have the same “spiel” and follow the same script to their calls, with only the company name having any variations.
Alleged to be from Amazon and they were deducting £79 from my account. I checked with Amazon it is a scam.
The number is for the national curriculum vocation asking if you need any further help finding work or sorting your cv out.
Keep getting calls at more or less same time every week-day, answered it twice and both times, just silence on the other end. Won't be answering again.

I also get lots of calls from this number. I asked the nature of the company and why they are calling me for. The chap normally gets very aggressive repeating to me over and over that I am owed PPI from my bank. I just kept asking the nature of the call and what the name of his company. He did not like this one bit explaining, he wanted needed to confirm my postal details, and the person he was talking to. Was called by this number out of the blue saying I can sign up for Amazon Prime for £7.99 per month. I have always decried Prime activation and have in the past asked Amazon to disable Prime on my login. This has been that way for a couple of years now, but this has started again. It was an automatic message call.
SCAM - call to try to insist you go to a website to become a stocks and trading pro. Caller would not desist the call, was repeatedly told the call was not welcome - standard response was to repeat that I was unable to decline or have an opinion as he had not told me all about his product and had not yet been to his website.

SCAM - says from PayPal and wanting me to click on a link as their is a payment error. Checked PayPal directly and no such errors.

Called today saying it was EE. The lady I spoke to was extremely polite and friendly and offered me a ?6 discount a month on my home Broadband package PLUS 1500 minutes Anytime mobile minutes a month. I was paying ?6 a month more for landline calls only so a great saving. If you are a loyal EE customer I advise people to answer this call
