Often recieve calls claiming to be from Royal Sun Alliance. Yep, this a tele marketing group www.punchgeneration.com using a variety of 01483 numbers.

HMRC scam. Told me I was being taken to court for tax fraud but could avoid this by paying them 4k. I had to go to my bank and open an account and make it available to them.

I had a few missed calls from this number and Googled it as I didn t recognise it. I found lots of comments saying it was a fundraising company asking for more money for the RSPCA which I give directly to. I used the number which a couple of people provided to have my number taken off the list which is an automated service. It takes seconds, asks you to key in your number, confirms it and then says your number will be removed within 1 day. You don t have to speak to anyone at all - cold callers or customer

did not get to the phone to answer before the answer phone came on, and unfortunatey the caller did not leave a message

Missed the call by about 10 seconds, rang them back straight away to an answering machine saying office's are closed

This number keeps sending me messages, also 07792051777. The messages read "Meet local single women tonight. No strings, just lots of fun. Call or txt 07792051777 now! By: CT EC1N 8TE London CS: 02076177015 18+ reply STOP to stop Freemsg" I have replied STOP but the messages keep coming.

Have had calls about accident on mobile and at office - this number called me today on mobile but I rejected as didn t recognise - looks like unsolicited telemarketing

Called yesterday and asked for "Les" to which we said it was a wrong number. They called back 4 times that day. One the last call they said "has nobody spoken to you about insurance?" Then today they ve called twice but we put the phone straight down.

Emma called to say they had been of a recent accident that was not my fault. Hung up when I asked what accident...

These are both premium-rate, non-geographic numbers, and if they have called you, probably spoofed anyway - they tend to be used for TV/radio phone-in competitions.

Just hung up as I answered. You can t call the number back so clearly a call centre of some sort.

I am working at a bank and received a phonecall from a man, asking for phone-numbers from our bank-employees. I ve asked him what his name was and for which company he s working. He stated that his name was Steven Killen/Killin(?) and that he was an employee from Commerz Bank. I didn t trust his story and looked for this phone number on the internet. And Bingo!! It s from a company called "GDS International". I am sick and tired of companies or their employees, lying to get to the CEO s. STOP IT!!

Keep ringing me. Finally spoke to them. Was a PPI claim company.

It s a well known scam. Don t bother calling them back. The number might appear to be normal geographic but they might have rigged it to charge you premium rate.

Great fun - obvious scammer - fed him loads of rubbish data, he seemed pleased until I told him that I was spinning him along, then became aggressive so I blew him a kiss and hung up - got at least 7 minutes of entertainment out of it - roll on the next idiot!!!

rang me at work, overseas accent, claimed they were a 'consumer services bureau', they had my name, i did not confirm it. sounded like they were fishing for information.

Call started by announcing there is a criminal cade registered against me for tax evasion.. so I hung up and blocked the number!

"This is windows service, we find you have computer problems and will fix with AVG." Spent 40 mins isolating faults in my system and fixing. Computer now working faster. Paid £300 for lifetime AVG by credit card. Am I crazy!? [email protected]

Said hullo Mr. N..... and was from microsoft and my computer was infected and my wifi needed changing. I told him he was trying to scam me and put the phone down.
