They said that they had in fact received a call from this number (I withheld the number) I found this strange that someone was in my house and called them, must have been my dog that called her?!? These are both premium-rate, non-geographic numbers, and if they have called you, probably spoofed anyway - they tend to be used for TV/radio phone-in competitions.
HMRC scam. Told me I was being taken to court for tax fraud but could avoid this by paying them 4k. I had to go to my bank and open an account and make it available to them.

Great fun - obvious scammer - fed him loads of rubbish data, he seemed pleased until I told him that I was spinning him along, then became aggressive so I blew him a kiss and hung up - got at least 7 minutes of entertainment out of it - roll on the next idiot!!!

Called saying they were my energy supplier and wanted me to renew on the telephone. They are not an energy company and are trying scare tactics with the current situation regarding the energy crisis. Ignore, delete, do not give them any of your information, do not agree to anything. They record your calls also so be careful.
Claimed be calling from somewhere that sounded like CAB, but wasn t, telling me they had received legal notification of outstanding debts I had to pay. Hung up when I told him I didn t, number will not receive calls.
