Hourly calls received for 2 days so far, after I stupidly entered my correct phone number on an insurance comparison site (Quotezone - avoid at all costs). Ive never answered the calls and am unable to block them on my current phone or via my call provider, so I m buying a phone which has call barring on it. Ridiculous to think I have to do that, but I cant be doing with hourly calls, since yesterday and starting today, Saturday morning at 9.10am.

Alledgedly from Amazon Prime, saying my subscription will auto-renew unless I press 1 to speak to an Amazon representative. I use Amazon, but not Amazon Prime - so this is 100% SCAM - DO NOT PRESS 1 - JUST BLOCK THIS NUMBER.
SCAM. Phoned to offer me a reduction in my monthly phone bill. Very convincing. Seemed to know a lot about different plans etc. Phoned Carphone Warehouse after the call to confirm their legitimatcy and they have said that it is a scam.

This number rang on 09/03/23. When I answered, the call just ended. This number rang again on 10/03/23. The caller had a South Asian accent, knew my name and enquired about the car accident I'd had. I responded that this would be the car accident I hadn't had and told him to stop wasting my time. There was a fairly insincere 'apology' that he'd been given the incorrect details.

I got scammed like the last two posters on Saturday 26th June, but at Frankley on the M5 at around 11.30am. I reported it to West Midlands Police and to Action Fraud but have not had a follow up from either yet. Silver Vauxhall VIG2342, very convincing and grateful manner, same story about returning from Belgium and needing money to get back to Ireland and feed his children, same mobile number (07721 950844) - also introduced me to his children and happy to show me his ID. I haven't even bothered contacting

She also seemed surprised when I answered so I'm pretty sure they have a huge list of numbers they just cycle though. allegedly from Talk Talk..asian man..said there was problem with my router !! told him I was with BT, that I knew he was a scammer and hung up. He then rang back repeatedly..I just answered and hung up again immediately. Reported to ofcom, ICO and Action Fraud.
