They called me today claiming to have got my number from LinkedIn. My LinkedIn profile does not have a phone number, in fact LinkedIn keep asking me to add one. They mumbled something about indirect tax and I hung up.
I received an automated voice call from this number, telling me that they were from my Internet provider and my Internet services will be disconnected due to illegal use. They requested me to "press 1 to speak to an advisor" but I hung up. I then returned the call from my landline and received an automated reply telling me that nobody was available to take my call. Obviously a scam, so beware!

SCAM Said from Vodafone upgrade team and could offer me a great deal on a upgrade. Asked them to email me the details so I could check it over. Email looked dodgy, address wasn't a Vodafone one. Forwarded onto Vodafone and they said not a genuine email from them. Called me back again and got angry when I challenged them on what Vodafone said. Told me I'd get another email to prove they were genuine within 30mins, still waiting a few hours later. Four calls today alone, all from different numbers!

Put another person on the phone when she got flustered, male then started asking me my security question, what model of phone I had, mt network provider was etc. SCAM - avoid!! Absolute scam. Claimed to be from OpenReach told me they would switch the internet off for 72 hours as our IP address was public and it was a GDPR issue. When I told them to make our IP address private as they actually own the internet, they told me they couldn't. I had to run a software on my laptop to do it. Literally do not do anything they say!
