Completed an online quotation and have been bombarded with calls since. I advised them I was no longer interested due to their pushy sales techniques on the phone and I would proceed with BUPA. Despite this and after blocking their number they are still calling from different numbers. Relates to a dodgy car trader... aggressive in getting the sale and as soon as you need the support they don’t want to know!

Received an uninvited call to my landline number, claiming to be conducting a health survey on behalf of the UK Government. The health questions didn t concern me but the depth of personal info requested did. I now regret giving so much info away (including name, address, age, no of adults and children), which I might not have done with an email survey. Have resolved not to answer similar phone calls in the future, but now wondering whether the call really was legit. It sounded so at the time, but it s

Electronic voice warned me that my TalkTalk internet would be disconected this evening and gave me the option to either press 1 to keep it or 2 to disconnect. Goodness knows what would have happened if I had pressed either number. I logged in to TalkTalk and of course there was no mention of a disconnection.

non english accented man called Jack (or Kevin, or Peter)says he is from my internet provider. Asked how my internet is running and I said perfectly he thanks me and hangs up - three calls in two days, not all have had such a polite reply from me.

I had a phone call from this number on my mobile. It was a recorded message saying that the message was from HM revenue and that my name is involved with a fraud investigation. It then went on to say that I had to press 1 to find out what to do next and if I didn’t then a warrant would be issued. At this point I hung up on them.

It seemed to be one of those calls about mis-selling of PPI claims but it was a person rather than an automated call. I didn't listen for long enough to find out.

And that is a problem that Western Union have, for it is so easy for the scammers to launder money as it passes from gullible people through WU to the scammers ever growing pock...

If you dial 02396, you get unobtainable after the first five figures. I suspect a foreign concealed number that you can't ring back to investigate.

Silent call, then high pitched beep/ping noise before cutoff. Others have noted this is a telemarketing number -we are plagued by these despite being registered on TPS. Yet another one to add to the Caller Bar list then.
