Two calls received within 24 hours from male with Indian/Asian accent and female with American accent. Both told me that they had information that showed that I had had a no fault accident within the last 2 years. They were obviously reading from a script, refused to tell me where they had got my name, phone number or the accident information from. I told them what I thought of them and they hung up ! Will report it to TPS and ico.org.uk
Called my mobile this afternoon (NEVER believe any company saying they won't pass your details on!) Number came up as Bedford. I picked up but didn't speak straight away. After a couple or so seconds I started to say "Hello?" but they hung up before I spoke!

SCAM Seems to be a call center as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I also get lots of calls from this number. I asked the nature of the company and why they are calling me for. The chap normally gets very aggressive repeating to me over and over that I am owed PPI from my bank. I just kept asking the nature of the call and what the name of his company.
