SCAM - Indian call centre pretending to be from BT ringing about ficticious internet service issues. Wanted me to establish a remote connection to allow them to ransack my PC.
They call and hang up - then when you call them their opening line is "Are you responding to a missed call" Not even a hello - obviously their business model requires curiosity of the caller to find out who called, then they try to trap you into getting a boiler and loft insulation that are apparently part of the greendeals fund run by the government - you can do this yourself without someone taking a cut if you really want. Just another PPI type firm.

SCAM tried to rip my parents off. Pretending to be my sister in the form of a text message. They said she in desperate need of £1000 to pay an overdue bill! Do not respond to these wicked people.
It is a scam and we did transfer money but stopped order..all the amounts are for just over 2k paid into our account and we transferred just under 2k back into their bank. you ll see the money go into your account then they re desperate for you to pay the overpaid balance, they then cancel the dodgy cheaque within 2 days...Don t do it, the tel number is bogus and so is the address...

PPI Scammers, do not respond to their text. You do not need to text STOP as you haven t opted in to anything. Texting STOP just helps the criminals by verifying that your number is in use.

One person called (speaking in Urdu) on my business phone number and asked for the owner of the business, I said call in the morning, the person asked for the owner's name, I said I can't give you the name, call in the morning. When told was not interested the women just hung up. 1471 gave me the number so I rang back, got the say woman, told her how rude she had been and my number to be taken from their list. I them received a further 5 calls with no one answering, informed them the number would be reported.
