Automated message saying I was being investigated for tax evasion! and that a warrant had been issued for my arrest by Hmrc. Considering I am a basic paye tax payer, it was clearly a scam. Number blocked.

SCAM Claimed she was "'Yennifer' from 'Wirgin' media technical department"! Woman had very 'thick' 'Indian'-style accent. She said "oh, oh, oh," when I said I was busy & I would ring Virgin later. She'd done the "How are you this morning?", like a lot of the phone scams do. Nothing was said about security questions! Suspect this was another scam call.

Fraud SCAM Telephone call from 01376 567981 on Friday 23 June. Voice message claiming unusual use of bank account. Did not identify which bank or which account holder. Obviously attempt at fraud. Left phone line open until call terminated, then blocked telephone number.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Called saying they were from a Online Trading Platform I had signed up for to earn extra money. I have not and never will sign up and said so to caller. They were persistent and insisted I had - I asked they remove my number and then hung up. Number is now blocked.
SCAM SCAMMERS from an Indian call centre again. Pertaining to be from BT trying to get remote access to my computer using Anydesk this time. After wasting their time and being put through their so-called senior technician, he told me to F**K OFF. That's what I call a real result.

Called twice today, 2nd time answered: asked for my partner by name & claimed to be from People's Energy who are our energy supplier and are based in Edinburgh so that matches the area code (0131). My partner wasn't happy to confirm security information for an unsolicited call though and they were happy to end the call requesting we call them. Have received the same message from these scumbags, from same number even though my mobile is registered with TPS. Have reported it to Vodafone VSPAM 87726 and they have logged it as a SPAM sender. That generally means I will not receive any more SPAM from that number (need to be a Vodafone customer to do this).
