Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. Posed as Amazon, claiming that £90 had been removed from my account. Was initially an automated message, when I pressed 1 to speak to someone they said: "Hi there, how can I help!?" I replied "Well, I don't know, you called me!" and they hung up!
