This is a number that is in a series of numbers from 0843566xxxx on rotation that I have been blocking for 3+ years. It’s clearly cold calling for insurance as I have answered a call however most calls ring 3 times before ending the call. Very difficult to track. And every time you block one number, another variation of the first 7 numbers appears a few days later. Very annoying. Very frustrating.

Seems like an Indian call centre, have had a few missed calls from several number over the passed few days which I have blocked. They left a 20 second voicemail by mistake with them talking in Indian and laughing before realising that she was on voicemail and hung up. No company name offered, wouldn’t trust regardless. Caller from this number stated that hmrc were giving back tax paid on ppi claims. I was due over £6000! Proceeded to ask me help to fill R40 form, my date of birth and then my national insurance number. At that point I asked her to send me the form as I didn't want to give my details. They call me. No audio. Terminated (not by me) within 1 or 2 seconds. I rang back. No ring, no answer, immediately terminateed (not by me) The only possible reason for this nuisance call is to check my number is active, which the operator does not need to do, no one else has a valid reason to. Any legitamate reason to verify a phone number would include verification of the recipient, and that's unlikely because of fraud.
SCAM, probably. Called them back after googling and it just says "welcome to Expert Developers, press 1 to get through to an agent". Considering how dumb a name "Expert Developers" is, it's almost def a scam.

This phone number has been an issue with my house phone. This number has appeared on my VM bill for the moths of Oct, Nov,Dec,Jan ,Feb and March before I realised I had not made the call. It appears every 12 hours as a call that lasts less than 1 minute and each call is charged at 39 pence . Does not sound a lot until you add it up over the period of time which then accounts for over £60.00.
