Internet scam Called 8a.m said Steve from Virgin Media about my broadband connection. Said, am not in a Virgin area, he hung up.
SCAM, the claimed to be from HMRC to arrange for an additional payment due to outstanding tax payments. They hang up when I asked them to authenticate themselves.

SPAM I filled in an online form using my real number and a fake name. I got a call several weeks later asking for that name. seems that they fell for it.
Scam caller, saying they are from Openreach doing a check as there is a report of a fault and to check my emails. I challenged her before she finished speaking as I knew it was a scam, and she hung up, but obviously would persist if a vulnerable person had answered.

I don't know who it was, because I didn't answer the call. I don't have any relation in London, or for what reason someone wanted to call me! I didn't receive any voice message, so none important! Probably scam, telemarketer! I have blocked it!

The people on the other end were talking together unaudibly for at least 30 seconds before some lady spoke through the phone claiming to be carphone warehouse, which she called ‘carphone company’. Scam. Said they were from sky and I may have offers, tried to get me to have fibre broadband. I stupidly gave my address, email etc. Just contacted sky & it appears that it’s not one of their numbers. There’s a recording if you ring the number back that does say it’s a recording on behalf of sky. Just be careful not to give any details.
