The companies don’t "get" your number, they just block-dial numbers until they get a ring tone so TPS and ex-directory numbers do not offer any protection.

SCAM It claims that the call is from Amazon that I have purchased iPhone for certain price and then if I have not purchased should press 1. Then may be they are trying to steal your data. So stupid Amazon never calls people for purchases even if you buy £1000s of pounds items. They dont care all their products are from their customers with guaranteed insurance and return policy. This is a very silly fraudulent scam. Please block the number before even they call u, one headache less. I blocked them for ever.

PPI following up on a conversation we supposedly had last year? safe to say I ve never had a conversation with a PPI-pusher!
Called yesterday and asked for "Les" to which we said it was a wrong number. They called back 4 times that day. One the last call they said "has nobody spoken to you about insurance?" Then today they ve called twice but we put the phone straight down.
This number rings for two to three consecutive days. Online number search shows Canadian post a package delivery. I do not answer the call. It could be a scam or nuisance call.
This person is a serial scammer and fraudster who responds to wanted ads placed on Gumtree. Usually uses the main identity of Marlon on Gumtree, but sometimes uses his alleged daughters details: Zara Hussain. They then provide pictures of items for sale in a response to your ads, eventuay agree a price, provide fake identity details and asks for a deposit and the items will be posted by them. Fraud. This caller was a nasty piece of work, said I have brought a washing machine from him and was required to extend the warranty and pay him money. Very shouty, very aggressive refused to give any information about his business, just said I was expected to give him money. I was REQUIRED to give him money.

Great fun - obvious scammer - fed him loads of rubbish data, he seemed pleased until I told him that I was spinning him along, then became aggressive so I blew him a kiss and hung up - got at least 7 minutes of entertainment out of it - roll on the next idiot!!!

When call back automated saying this number is not valid check the number and dial again. Wtf.
A man claimed to work for bitcoin.com and said that I'd signed up to make money online. I've been called over 20 times a day from people who claim to be from some financial company for the past 2 weeks (they make up a new name each time). Numbers probably spoofed but tend to start 0161768, 0161818 , 0113301 or 0113868. Normally decline and block but have answered a couple to ask them to stop. This one swore at me when I asked.
