SCAM: Man with Indian accent, saying an Amazon Gift card for 39.99 had been charged to my account, from a postcode in London. Asked how I was today & I strung him along to waste his time & said ’not good’. He had my initial, surname, address & postcode, as well as my phone no. I told him I don’t HAVE an Amazon Account. unhelpful, rude, annoying, unsolicited calls to number(s) already registered with TPS (I ve escalated a formal complaint via TPS). When I returned the call, I too got the answering machine "this number can t take incoming calls" so called them on 0800 069 9303. they confirmed that they re Debt Masters Direct but wouldn t tell me how they got my number or why they were ringing me. SCAM I am assuming this is a scam number because1) its an unknown number from London, where I am not expecting any calls (I'm in Scotland), 2) I'm harrassed daily with scam calls, mostly from London. 3) the vm this number left was electronic music notes for 30 sec and then disconnect.
NEVER press ANY numbers when asked to do so by an unknown caller as you may be charged a very large call fee.
