The person knew my name and address BUT the wrong postcode - it was way off! As I said it was the wrong postcode they asked me for mine which I refused to give and told them as they had the wrong information I was not the person they needed.

Again one of those calls reporting that you have been involved in a car accident. I don t have a car... It seemed like a recorded message and caller hung up when I twice answered that I don t have a car.
The caller left a message for me to call Amazon membership account if I don t want £79.99 to be deducted from my card account. But didn t leave the phone number to call.

Second at 12:24hrs, identical number, didn't leave a message. We seem to be getting more scam calls than calls of any meaning. Maybe we should discontinue the landline?

Sick of these calls! You can hear that someone is there and after about 10-15 seconds they hang up
SCAM. This number called me twice today claiming to be my bank! Said two withdrawals had been made from my account. Press a number if you did not authorise this. I hung up and rang bank and of course it was not genuine.
