SCAM - Seems to be a call centre as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities.

After receiving this call, I asked for a return call for me to get my banking details, but checked the 0800 number instead, and got this site. Glad I did. I ll be informing family and friends now. Thanks for this site.

Not totally sure whether they're just a call centre or a scam, but they seemed to have some patchy information about our company and tried using it to speak to someone (the wrong person, just a name they'd found who knows where) about our payment systems, claiming to be from "DNA Payments". I couldn't tie this number to that company online so I assumed it was fake and blocked the number.

Keep getting calls and spoof texts, they claim to be Scottish Power but they are not. They tell me my number is linked o a SP account but I rang SP from their website number and they have advised me there is no account with my number. A foreign caller rings every morning around 9.30 and sometimes in the evenings around 6.30 and asks me to complete a survey that will take 30 seconds. I have done this once (it takes a good 5 minutes) and a second time giving totally random answers. The third time I said I had already done it and was not doing it again, as I put the the phone down he was wailing my name - ...... DON T GO! Now I lift the handset but say nothing and they ring off almost immediately.

I received an automated call from this number saying it was Amazon Prime and that they would take money from my account for renewal unless I cancelled.
Dangerous scammers pretending to be from HMRC, threatening immediate arrest for non-existent unpaid taxes unless they get an instant payment! Don t pick up the call - or if you already did, just end the call, don t press any keys - and if they ve left you an intimidating voicemail DON T call them back. Don t worry, there will be NO legal consequences, there is NO arrest warrant, these bullies are just trying to scare you.
