Phoned twice. It was an automated message claiming to be my broadband provider stating that my broadband was about to disconnected. As the message did not state who my broadband provider was I hung up. I suspect this is a scam.

American voice claimed my I.P. address would be changed automatically within 24hrs if we did not connect to them by keying 1. Obviously needs to be ignored
SCAM Financial investment company that they claim I had asked to be contacted by. However they do not know my actual given name nor do they know my full name. I asked if instead of using the random name I publicly go by if they could confirm my full name and other details but could not. I’ve had several of these “investment companies” calling and fishing for details recently. All have the same “spiel” and follow the same script to their calls, with only the company name having any variations.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. After receiving this call, I asked for a return call for me to get my banking details, but checked the 0800 number instead, and got this site. Glad I did. I ll be informing family and friends now. Thanks for this site.
Suddenly started getting calls from this number, sometimes twice a day. They sent me a text message saying from Mackenzie Hall and asking me to text back quoting an account number which they gave me. I ve never answered calls or text, never had a debt other than a mortgage (now paid off) and had new mobile number within last 3 months so how have they got my number and why are they bothering me!

Same here, supposedly from Sky, this is a complete scam, I used to have Sky and had this equipment insurance but as I no longer have Sky I said I needed to cancel this and he immediately hung up the phone. 02038126247

Finally received payment, however we had to instruct another solicitor to start winding up and they paid up an hour before we were going to issue court papers. My guess is they think most people will not be bothered or do not want to lose more money. These people disgust me, I bet they cant walk down the street without looking over their shoulder, how do they sleep !!!!!
