i got a call from this number saying i owe money to HMRC and asked me to press 1 and urgently pay money else HMRC will issue a warrant. I immediately realised this is a spoofed called and hung up

From looking the number up and finding all these comments saying Vanquis - i called Vanquis up asking why a debt collecting agency is harrassing me when I paid off any money oweing last year and wrote a letter of cancellation LAST YEAR! I dont even have a valid in date credit card with them - how could I owe money?! They obviously havent closed my account! SCAM Said he from Virgin Media and was calling about my broadband. Said was not with VM but he insisted it was still important because VM supply all the broadband suppliers use the VM server. When I started challenging him he hung up.
