01156660165 - phone rang, I answered but waited for the caller to say hello first - if it's a genuine caller, they will. But they phone was silent and they hung up.
Safe number. This was Domestic & General. I am an existing customer. They were calling after some recent work had been done. They were trying to sell me increased cover for other items.

The man told me I was due an upgrade on my O2 mobile - he said he was calling from O2 but knew nothing about my phone and started asking about my bill payments to which I said you should know this information if you re calling from O2 at this point he got agitated and said he was trying to do me a favour, that I was being argumentative and unhelpful - I reminded him that he d actually called me and that I was not interested

This is a scam - they claim to be HMRC (although he pronounced it HRMC!) and are asking for student tax to be paid. I told them that I am 16 and not working and therefore not eligible for tax. He - an Indian sub continent accented person - insisted I have to pay it until I informed him that I actually work for HMRC and this is a scam. He admitted it was and rang off.
